In its special dossier “Investigation: no innovation without digital technologies”, Usine Nouvelle honours the bleam as a key element of the Airbus Wimmz project.
Real demonstration of the relevant integration of the bleam in the industrial sector, Wimmz (Where Is My MeanZ) combines the geolocation and the access in real time to information.
A bleam has been affixed on each equipment. The Airbus companions can be easily aware of the availability of the tools or even declare an error report with a simple scan with the application Wimmz on their smartphone. Another bleam of geolocation enables the instant localization of an equipment.
The assets of this action are numerous for Airbus: decrease of the costs, increase of the companion performances and gain of productivity with an instant access to information. The bleam now becomes an innovative working tool enabling the augmentation of a profession and of daily process.
Nowadays, the bleam enables the creation of a link between the real world and the digital world. Very soon, it will be able to insert information directly into the real world thanks to the technology of augmented reality. To be continued.
